A Wonderful Sight
December 12 — The Full Cold MoonSky watchers will be dazzled by an exceptionally high, bright, and large Moon. In fact, this Moon is 14% bigger and 30% brighter than other full Moons this year. Why? The Moon is both in its full phase and at a point in its orbit that is nearest Earth, called its perigee. When these events occur together, the Moon is closer to Earth than usual. The effect? The Full Cold Moon will appear especially large near the horizon as the Sun sets. The Moon is also high at this time of year; when it's overhead (near midnight), it will light up the landscape. Take a magical stroll and see your world at night. You won't need a flashlight!
Thought I would pass along this note from the Almanac Bulletin~Enjoy!

I love the names they give the different moons. It was a very cold but cloudless night last night, perfect for moon watching.

I absolutely love this song!! One of my faves! I'd love to have chickens with fresh eggs and a little victorian chicken house. Only problem, chickens scare me to death. :) I'll get over it.
So glad to visit. I'll be back!
Hugs ~

Hi Rhonda,
I've been MIA for a while but I'm back now and trying to catch up. I love your header! Are the pics from in and around your home??
Come by and see me when you get a chance!
Hugs,

Hi, Rhonda,
Thank you for your nice compliment on my Christmas decorations. No, I didn't do the cross-stitching on my kids' stockings - my sister-in-law did that when they were really young. My son has become a major Starbucks fan in spite of Robin living across the country. She did, however, contribute to his addiction by giving him a ton of Starbucks pencils and a couple of employee aprons she picked up at Goodwill. She's the die-hard coffee lover in the family and I guess my son got that gene.
Have an absolutely blessed day!
p.s. love your Christmas music!!!
