Movin and shakin

If you should feel the ground moving beneath your feet this week, don't be alarmed.... it's just me, moving heaven and earth, trying to accomplish all of my set in stone goals before Saturday:-)

My yard will play host to a large yard sale this weekend which will include goodies from, me, my Mom and my two twin Aunts. For the first time in over a year, I hope it doesn't rain.

There is still A LOT of planting to be done in the garden and for this part of the country, time is getting late.

And last, but not least, I have a pile of brush a mile high that needs to be burned before the May 1st burn ban goes into effect...

Time to roll up my sleeves and get to it.

So as this 42 year old body tries to summon the energy of someone half her age, there is bound to be some ground rattling going on. ~Rhonda

You're just a spring chicken! You'll be a dynamo and get it all accomplished. Just don't overdo so that you can't enjoy the fruits of your labor. Wish that I could attend this yard sale of yours. Sounds fascinating!

I know EXACTYLY what you're talkin' about! My mind is 25, but my body is 55! Now if I could get this 55 year old bodsy to move like it was 25, I'd be good to go!!! As it is, I do what I can, then I leave the yard for a bit. Come back, do a little more. I have to spread out my labors, unlike a few years ago when I could just head out in the morning and 6 hours later come in!

I love a good yard sale, having one and going to one. They are a lot of work though. As for the burn pile, I say bring on the marshmallows!

Hi Rhonda,
I found you through Vee's blog. Your blog is delightful! and your little boy is a darling. What a great life and how special to be able to provide such a down to earth life style for your son. My grand-daughter loves the country and anything outside, she loves all her pets and little babies. She would love to live your life style. But with her parents jobs they must live in a small city. I have enjoyed my visit today and will be back again soon to see what you are up to. I am going to add you to my favorites.
Enjoy your day,
Elizabeth

OOO, sweet girl, if you think YOUR 40 something body gets tired just wait until it gets to be 71. Hubby and I have been moving flagstone, planting flowers, spading up another area, trimming bushes and ivies...it is only 86 here today but it feels like 200....
