Still here....

Fear not gentle readers... for the rumors of my demise due to a band of marauding copperheads seeking revenge for their fallen comrade, are widely exaggerated......
Actually, the majority of my time these days is consumed with the monotony of job hunting. Looking for a job, IS a full-time job and it is not going well. That is all I want to say about this topic.
We did spend a week at the beach. Anna Maria Island to be exact. It was pure bliss:-) My son and I voted to stay forever, but then reality reared its ugly head.... responsibilities and all that practical stuff.

My garden is doing well and I have been enjoying its bounty.... and working like a field hand trying to get ahead of the weeds that also enjoyed my time in Florida!

My bees have doubled or tripled in numbers.... or more. I am adding new frames and supers (levels) to accommodate there increase and the honey... oh the glorious honey!!!

And last but not least..... I am bottle raising 5 kittens, YEP, 5 kittens!

I'll tell you all about it and show you pictures tomorrow... as soon as I find my camera, it's MIA.

Good to hear from you Rhonda! I understand the job hunt problems, hubby has been searching for months, hours on end and finding nothing. I am glad you were able to get away from it all for a week. An island sounds so wonderful right now.

Bottle feeding kittens, that must be hard work in itself. Good luck with the job hunting.

Yay! So glad that the copperheads didn't getcha. Looking for a job? Say no more. It's not easy out there.

What are you doing with all that glorious honey? We love our honeyman and thank God for him. We buy 12 quarts or 3 gallons of honey every year. We do it for our allergies and neither of us suffer anymore thanks to honey.

Looking forward to kitty pics...

Glad you're back but "Anna Maria IS" caught my eye. I just sold my house there 2 years ago. (Much to my kids dismay!) I couldn't afford to keep both homes and I didn't want to live in FL full time. So with much heavy heartedness I sold it. It was right by the point on Jacaranda. A 2 min. walk from the Rod N Reel Pier. Small world. Thank you for raising those little kittens. $ litters were born at the barn where I board our horses. The owners won't spend the money to spay and neuter!!!!!
