Plan B

I had plans for this weekend... Pull up the old fence posts in the garden, make a small cold frame for some lettuce, maybe go get more fire brick from Jason's (more on that later), but Old Man Winter had other ideas.
3 to 4 inches of the white fluffy stuff.

So instead... we made snowballs~

took sleigh rides~

and listened in on the animals as they took a snowy walk about~

The girls are not sure what to make of this stuff on their feet.

Dawn cautions Dottie to get her nose out of there before she catches her death of cold.

Olie wants to know if he can come inside... "I'll help with the dishes..."

Pedro thinks it's warmer on top of the Coop.

"Don't think I won't flog you just because it's all snowy and stuff," Romeo warns.

Tipper and Wally rip and run non-stop. I thought they would find it too cold, but they LOVED it:-)

Lucy is inspecting the watering can... yep, there's snow in here too.

Smoky is spying her next attack victim... anything that's blowing in the wind.

And Lexi has only one thing to say... "My feet are cold."

So, instead of sitting here and sipping tea in between projects,

I'm enjoying the beauty of a Southern snow storm and taking heart in the old saying: "The harsher the Winter, the more glorious the Spring."

I'm brand-new to your blog. It's lovely, and you take wonderful photos. I recently became the proud owner of 2 French Angora rabbits. Your Shannon is beautiful. Do you spin her fiber. I lost count of the cats! How many are there? I thought I had a lot at 4.

Pedro and Romeo are my two favorites. I can have favorites, right? Because I am like an Aunt.....not the Mom - lol.

Looks like we had the same snow. We got about 4 inches overnight and today the sun was bright and shiney.
Hugs,
Penny

I'm glad you were able to make good use of the snow. It looks like everyone was having a good time. It won't be around too long.

It's good to take a day to explore in the snow and throw some snowballs with your kids. The work will wait. :-)

Hi, Rhonda. Don't you love the snow we have been getting in Georgia...it's such a treat. I'm like you though, I am ready to get my hands in the dirt...just a few more weeks. Wishing you and your family a Happy Valentine's Day.

Beautiful snowfall pictures. I just can't seem to get enough snow and have been making snow cream for the grands, having a snowball fight, and did a little sledding but decided I had better stick to just trying to walk in the snow. LOL

What a nice thought...the better the spring. Snow looks lovely in your corner and you're right to just have fun with it. It'll be a distant memory all too soon.

Well, when one is given lemons, it is wise to make lemonade! And you did it quite well. Love the critter pics!

When Mother Nature sends the white stuff your way, it helps to have a plan B. Looks like all the critters were enjoying themselves.
