Changing Seasons

Yesterday was one of those days that was packed to the brim with things to do. My Mom and I had a planned outing which involved a full day of activities~Thrifting, Fabric Store, Wholefoods Warehouse and a side trip to Chuck E. Cheese's, my little one would live there if he could.

When I arrived back home, late in the afternoon, I had to prepare for the arrival of Old Man Winter. It was the first hard freeze of the season, lows in the upper 20's so my animals needed their winter bedding...fresh thick layer of pine shavings for the chicken coop, a layer of hay for the chicken run and the rabbit pen.

I was so worn out at the end of the day, I fell asleep around 8:00 while sitting in my sewing chair...just like an old lady, LOL!!!!

I missed visiting everyone yesterday. I will stop by today for sure.

Yesterday, I posted the PIF Gift Exchange challenge. Sallie at Everyday Me...life as it happens has agreed to join in. Thanks Sallie:) Since I agreed to make 3 handmade gifts and I want to live up to my end of the bargain, I have decided to make a gift for Sallie and the first three people who left a comment on my blog yesterday...Esther, Robin and Polly. Yes I know this is one more than I agreed to, but this is the season of giving, and I want to embrace it wholeheartedly! So ladies, please e-mail me your addresses, so that I can send you a little something. Edited to add~No, I am not drafting three unsuspecting souls into the PIF challenge. I enjoy crafting/creating and I just want to give something to some of new blogging friends...not run them off by obligating them to something they did not sign up for.

Speaking of the giving season..... Julie at Nunnie's Attic is have a give away for this lovely Christmas Tree:) It is simply beautiful! Just looking at it puts me in the Christmas spirit. To enter to win you must leave a comment on her Christmas Giveaway post. Good luck:)
Hope everyone has a wonderful and warm day!

Well, first - hope that your animals are more comfortable and warm now. And that you got the rest you needed.

Secondly, thank you so much for mentioning my giveaway. Anyone who mentions that you sent them will give you another entry!

Rhonda you were a BUSY girl yesterday! We don't have a wholefoods or Trader Joe's around here! Such a bummer I love those places.

I would have loved to participate in the PIF exchange but I was too afraid I wouldn't be able to follow through, it sounds like so much fun.

Isn't Julie's give-away great?? I hope I win that one! :)

Hi Rhonda,

I am so glad to be past the Chucky Cheese phase, both of my boys loved that place and I always left with a headache and no voice...it wasn't because I was yelling at them, I was yelling to whoop it up in the tubes WITH them LOL!

Hugs,
Dena

My son would go to Chuck E. Cheese everyday if I would let him. You are a good mommy.

Good for you on your giveaways! I still have to make mine for my poor recipients! :-)

Love your daily blessings on your blog!

Wow, sounds like you needed a nap! Don't you love falling asleep in a chair -- I always wake up with a crick in my neck, and dried drool on my mouth! LOL But I'm sure you look very elegant when you nap!

I had to give the dogs bedding because of the snow as well. Only I put my son in charge and he put the straw on the ground instead of in the dog house. I'll have to check before morning the next time.

You did have a busy day! I bet it was fun... How nice of you to Pay it Forward like that!

We drive from NC to Fl about once every two months and drive by Madison, thats why I asked...We have stopped there a couple of times and went through antique stores. It is a lovely little town.

Oh, Honey! You are just to precious! Unnecessary! But so sweet. I do understand your feeling, as I love to craft (when I have time these days) to give the stuff to people - it is so rewarding!) Just visiting you here at your home has been a delight, let alot receiving something made just by you! With love, Esther

We don't have a Whole Foods and our one teeny tiny natural food place is so small if you blink while driving you'll miss it. Trust me, I did :-)

I sent you my info. I will get the logo and the info on my blog tonight or tomorrow.. Thanks for sharing!

God bless,
Sallie
