My Sweetie Pie had an accident yesterday. He tried to close the tailgate on my old red truck. It is very difficult to latch. While he was standing on the bumper, the tailgate fell back open pushing him to the ground. He landed hard on his bottom. For the rest of the night he had difficulty walking correctly and sitting down. He also complained of pain when he tried to bend over, if he coughed or sneezed and if he shifted his weight quickly.
This morning he was still hurting so I took him to the Doctor. The X-Ray showed a crack in his tailbone. It will take 4 to 6 weeks to heal completely. He will have to take it easy and be careful not to re-injure the area in the mean time. Tonight I will make him a cushion that he can take to school to sit on and tomorrow I will go and talk with his teachers. The biggest concerns will be PE and recess. Today I have been administering tender love, care and the proper medicine.... Tylenol, chocolate cupcakes with sprinkles, gummy bears and jelly beans.
We would certainly appreciate it if you guys could say a little prayer that he heals quickly and doesn't get too frustrated with not being able to be as active as he is used to.
Thank you:-) ~Rhonda

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that your darling boy cracked his tailbone. I will definitely keep him in prayer. (And those kids better not be making any jokes either!)
Sorry to hear about your little cutie! I think chocolate cupcakes and gummy bears are just the ticket!
I know that's gotta be hard on him...especially for an active little boy. I'm sure he will be all better soon and running around in no time. It sounds like you are giving him just the medicine he needs :)
SO sorry! Hope he heals quickly! Prayers lifted right away!
blessings,

Sorry about your lil' farmboy...he's a country boy so he's a toughie, I can tell, but he's not too tough for mama's kisses!

Poor little man! Oh my goodness I know just how much that hurts...I fell off my horse and cracked mine when I was little and I still remember it like it was yesterday. I put him in my prayers.

Your little guy couldn't be in more capable hands. Of course we will say some prayers to expedite the whole process and I'm guessing you will be very surprised how soon he will be his old healthy self.
OOOO, bless his little tail bone!
I had mine cracked once and it DOES hurt.....a LOT...so, if you would, give him some extra meds, like M&M Peanuts, Sour balls, bubble gum and coke floats...He will heal MUCH faster!! :)
