Deck the Tree

The Tree is up. Yes, I know it is blurry:) I think it shows the colors better. My husband and I both prefer the look of white lights, but when you have a young child, it is all about color!

Remember the bird nest....this little lady moved right in:)

I thought I would show you some of my favorite ornaments~

My son's First Christmas ornament~it has pages inside where I recorded first Christmas events. This ornament is so dainty and delicate. It makes the most gentle tinkling sound. The first Christmas my husband and I were married, his Mimi gave us a box of ornaments she had made for us....some felt, some crocheted....each and everyone a priceless treasure.

After all the tree decking, we needed sustenance!!! Brownie Sundae to the rescue!

My little helper gives it the BIG thumbs up:)

I want to have a tree lit with white lights too (and my boys are older!) love all of those special ornaments that make the memories of each Christmas that much more special. Our tree is always filled with memories like that too. Yours are precious and that ice cream dish looks like it's right out of a magazine! Yummy :)

Hugs,
Dena

Between you and me I like colored lights better but Hubby likes white so I compromise...and I get to decorate the rest of the house so it's a fair trade!!!

Love that last ornament...I mean the Brownie Sundae....

I love seeing favorite ornaments. They all have such wonderful stories behind them.

If I come help, would I get a Brownie Sundae, too?

I love all of your ornaments, Rhonda. Your son's first Christmas ornament must be so special to you. I have always been a white light snob. But now I'm appreciating the look of colored lights on a tree more and more. Especially when I see pictures like yours. But that could also be because I know we'll never have them as long as we have this tree. It's pre-lit with white lights!

And as far as that sundae goes, it looks so good you'll slap your Momma (as Paula Deen would say.)

Love,
Julie

Hi,
I also love colour lights, my mum and me are debating at the moment what colour to put on our trees, we are used to colour, but we just bought a new tree that is tipped white and has red berries....We both agree white lights would suit better....but we cant part with the cozy colour lights! ha,ha
