We are eagerly awaiting this weekend. We are getting a new bunny!!! Isn't she just the most adorable little girl:-) Her name is Shannon and she is a gorgeous French Angora. There is a functional reason for her coming to live with us, I am planning to collect her fur and spin it into yarn for knitting projects. But that doesn't mean we can't fall in love with that fuzzy wuzzy little face. Heeheehee. In fact, I think I may already be smitten.
I'll be sure to take lots of pictures of her and introduce her properly when she arrives.~Rhonda

we had a bunny for years named honey bunny...she was dripping with patches that looked like honey.

Bunnies are the best. We've had two English spotted bunnies, a gorgeous grey Rex and a hand-me-down mini-lop over the years. They have all had fun, quirky personalities (one thought he was a dog, another was romantically attached to our dog). Enjoy your new little girl!

You know...back when I first started my blog, your sweet story of how much you wanted a baby and how hard it was to get him has always stuck with me.
And now...just look at you..A FRENCH RABBIT....hahaha....GO GIRL.
and I want a screened in porch in the worst way! The only problem...out here in West Texas we have so much blowing dust that the folks that DO have a screened porch are unable to have them. Ok, I'll take a GLASSED in porch!!

GardenGirl TV actually had a few segments on this. Did you see them? She sheared her angora in one. The whole time I was all tense thinking, "Don't snip the bunny!" because she was so quick and sure about it.
Then she spun the stuff in another, and in another made baby hat and mitties.
You should get some lovely fur from her.

She's cute! How'd she get her name? I had bunnies (angoras and lops) when I was a kid. I also had a Himalayan-mix cat, that looked a lot like Shannon! ;)
