Welcome to the second stanza of Operation de'Clutter. The piles are steadily growing despite my son's tendency to come in behind me and remove items from the give-away and discard stacks. Honestly, it reminds me of a dog chasing it's tail; I collect and sort, he removes and disperses.
Instead of simply removing things that are mussing up the house I have dug down to the root of the problem. I have decided to strike at the very heart of the matter, I confess, "I am a card carrying member of the Pack-Rat Society." I know there are far more flattering terms to refer to this syndrome, but it is time to call a spade a spade and deal with it. So I am having "Spring Cleaning" in September. Nothing is escaping scrutiny! Even though the thought did cross my mind, I have ruled out the idea of replacing my son with a tidier version.
For those of you who are interested, Google list 34,100,000 sites for "clutter" most of which are people who are willing to come in and sort out for you. Hhmmm....I wonder if there is enough money in the budget... I could sit and blog and someone else could do the dirty work...Hhmmm. It would be my luck to wind up show-cased on Mission Organization . Yikes!!! Better stick to doing it myself.
Well I am off, maybe I can make some good head way while my little on is still asleep. :0)

I too am a card carrying clutterer. I love the picture - looks like home. And the music was such a lovely treat.
I have some kind royal ties to the queen of clutter, I'm sure of it! And I hate clutter. I love organization. I love the picked up, fresh look. I just don't ever achieve it. Blessings... Polly
Oh my gosh, I feel your pain, believe me! It's even harder when it's not just your clutter. Trying to rein in your whole family's "collecting" tendencies can be an impossible job!
Wishing you happy sorting,
Mary
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and for your sweet comments. I have been a member of the Pack Rat Society as long as I can remember.
I always wanted someone to come into my house and get rid of of all the unnecessary...crap lying around. But, I'm always afraid that they'll make me throw something away that to the naked idea is just...crap. But to me it priceless.
HGTV calls it Fall Preening. So have fun with that!
Love,
Julie
